01 / Selected work

Complex problems.
Concrete outcomes.

Four perspectives on my work at Microsoft: making consumption accurate, understandable, accessible, and easier to adopt.

Consumption Billing System

Problem.
Turn multi-service, multi-region usage into dependable billing data.
Impact.
Delivered a pipeline with three-layer deduplication, extending billing to US government clouds.
  • C# / .NET
  • Scala / Spark
  • Service Fabric
  • Azure

Consumption Reporting

Problem.
Make consumption and charges explainable, not just aggregated.
Impact.
Delivered the underlying billing pipeline and presented its transparency and auditability to senior leadership.
  • Kusto / Azure Data Explorer
  • Scala / Spark
  • C# / .NET

Free Trials & Adoption

Problem.
Help tenants discover products and turn trial access into active use.
Impact.
Launched trials across 16 offerings; consuming tenants grew 3× in six weeks, with telemetry informing retention.
  • Offer lifecycle APIs
  • Consumption tracking
  • Conversion telemetry

DLP Migration Assistant

Problem.
Move large policy estates from Symantec and Forcepoint to Microsoft Purview.
Impact.
Co-owned the backend and built a mapping engine, replacing weeks of manual effort with guided automation.

My work sits where distributed systems meet real product needs.

At Microsoft, that means getting consumption data ready for billing, making it easier to understand, and helping enterprises adopt new capabilities.

Across eight years of engineering, the recurring challenge has been the same: translate a complex problem into software people can depend on.
